Speer Mowing began in 2022 with a mower, a trailer, and a belief that lawn care should be straightforward, affordable, and done right.

At the time, it was a side job to support family trips and extra expenses. But it didn’t stay small for long. Word spread quickly, and within our first year we had to upgrade to larger equipment and trailers just to keep up with demand.

The business was shaped by personal experience. After a short-term disability left me unable to maintain my own yard, I saw firsthand how expensive and impersonal lawn service had become. When I was able to return to work, I knew there was a better way to do it. Quality service, fair pricing, and real accountability.

By the end of our first season, we served 36 clients.
The second season, 75.
By December 2025, that number had grown to over 300.

In early 2024, I left my 9–5 to become a full time owner/operator, committed to building something dependable for our customers, for our community and for our family.

Our Story

Expanding How We Serve

Plants and gardens have always been part of our life. Once our lawn operations were established and running smoothly, we started looking for ways to serve our customers and community beyond mowing and maintenance.

In December 2025, an opportunity came up to lease the longtime Dever Nursery location. My wife, Ashley and I immediately knew it was something special. Working alongside Joe and Cathy Dever, we began the process of continuing the nursery’s legacy while bringing the same level of care and customer service Speer Mowing had become known for.

Dever Nursery exists to make quality plants, soil, and materials more accessible, while still offering the kind of personal help you don’t get from big box stores.
